Angkor Wat (Ank)

Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites of the world, stretching over some 400 km2, including the forested area of Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire including the famous Temple of Angkor Wat, the Bayon Temple at Angkor Thom with its countless sculptural decorations, the Taprohm Temple with trees growing out of the ruins, and many other temples, from the 9th to the 15th century.

Angkor Wat is not only the most famous temples among the Angkor complex but it is also a good place for bird watching where you have 35 species of birds to see. The forest inside the temple supports some good bird species especially the migrant birds such as Hainan Blue, Taiga and Asian Brown Flycatchers, Forest Wagtail, White-throated Rock Thrush, Black-capped Kingfisher, Asian Barred Owlet, Black Baza, Alexandrine and Red-breasted Parakeets.

Our expert guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 5:30 am and take you to the site. A quick stop at the site control office to get your temple pass. We will spend the whole day visiting some of the great temples such as Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and the Bayon terrace of the Elephant King Taphroms learning about their history, culture, and the stories of the carvings that adorn the walls of these great monuments. 
The tour will finish at 5.30pm. Your guide and driver will either take you back to your hotel or to another destination of your choice in the town.
