A dense of bushy shrubland area favors by the Cambodian’s endemic bird called Cambodian Tailorbird (Orthotomus chaktomuk). This near threatened species was first discovered and recorded by scientists in 2009 and later in 2013, it was determined to be a unique species. The dense shrub habitat allowed it to remain undetected for so long despite living on the outskirts of a major city.
Cambodian Tailorbird is mostly guaranteed with a quick visit on our way from Mondulkiri or Seima to Phnom Penh or back to Siem Reap.
This site supports Cambodia Tailorbird, Siberian Rubythroat, Oriental Reed-warbler, Spotted Owlet, Plain-backed Sparrow, and Dusky Warbler.
