Description

Tmatboey – the Ibis Village is a flagship site situated in the Northern Plains within the Kulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary, about 200km northwest from Siem Reap.  It is the most significant ground for the two global critically endangered Giant Ibis and White-shouldered Ibis.

Species: 

Tmatboey supports other target species such as Pale-capped Pigeon, Woolly-necked Stork, Indian Spotted Eagle, Grey-headed Fish Eagle, White-rumped Falcon, Sovanna and Large-tailed Nightjar, 16 species of woodpeckers such as Black-headed Great Slaty, Yellow Crowned, White-bellied, 9 species of Owls like Brown Fish-owl, Spotted Wood-owl, Oriental Scops-owl, Brown Wood-owl. Nearly 300 bird species recorded in the reserve.

Accommodation:

Tmatboey offers a basic accommodation by 5 surrounding bungalows, each one containing 2 twin-solar powered en-suite rooms, and its central dinner hall, where a few different dishes of local food will be served for the guests.
