Seab Chea – Chief Operation Officer (COO) & Co-Founder
With over 15 years of dedication to conservation and community engagement, Seab Chea is a driving force behind Cambodia’s ecotourism movement. A co-founder of CBGA in 2007, Chea has spent his career working alongside international birders to build deep expertise in wildlife conservation, bird identification, and sustainable tourism.
Deeply passionate about nature, Chea doesn’t just guide; he educates. He has spearheaded environmental programs across Siem Reap and various protected areas, inspiring local youth to appreciate and protect their natural world. Through his work, he champions sustainable livelihoods, ensuring that local communities directly benefit from biodiversity.
In recognition of his exceptional leadership, Chea was promoted to COO in January 2026. In this role, he continues to strengthen CBGA’s conservation efforts, uplift local communities, and promote Cambodia as a premier, world-class destination for birdwatching and nature-based tourism. For Chea, guiding is part of a lifelong mission to create opportunities where both people and nature can thrive together.
